    Mode of Action

    Tebuconazole belongs to the triazole group of fungicides, which act by inhibiting a fungal enzyme (C14-demethylase) that is essential for building ergosterol, the main sterol used to construct fungal cell membranes. By blocking ergosterol synthesis, the fungus is unable to build normal, functional cell membranes, which halts its growth and reproduction. Because this mechanism disrupts a basic building block of the fungal cell rather than a surface symptom, tebuconazole provides both protective action against new infection and curative action against early-stage infection already present in the plant. It is absorbed by the leaf tissue and moves acropetally (upward) within the plant, giving longer-lasting protection to new growth after spraying. Like several other triazole fungicides, tebuconazole also has a mild plant growth-regulatory (phytotonic) effect, which is often reported by users as improved greening and better fruit/grain set alongside disease control.

    How to Use

    1. Identify your crop and target disease from the table above, and confirm the correct dose per acre for that crop.
    2. Measure the required quantity of Tebuconazole 25.9% EC and pre-mix it in a small quantity of water, then add this to the spray tank and top up to the full water volume while stirring, so the emulsifiable concentrate disperses evenly.
    3. Spray using a knapsack or power sprayer fitted with a flat-fan or hollow-cone nozzle for uniform leaf coverage, preferably during the early morning or late evening.
    4. Avoid spraying in hot, windy conditions or when rain is expected within a few hours, as this reduces efficacy and can cause spray drift or wash-off.
    5. Repeat sprays at 10–15 day intervals if disease pressure continues, alternating with a fungicide from a different mode-of-action group to reduce the risk of resistance development, and always respect the waiting period before harvest.

    Precautions & Safety

    • Wear appropriate PPE — mask/respirator, gloves, goggles and full-sleeved clothing — while mixing and spraying.
    • Do a small jar-compatibility test before tank-mixing with other agrochemicals, and avoid mixing with strongly alkaline materials.
