Tarzan is a CIB-registered Chlorantraniliprole 18.5% SC insecticide from the anthranilic diamide group, recommended on the label across rice, cotton, sugarcane, pulses, oilseeds and a range of vegetable crops. As an anthranilic diamide, it activates the ryanodine receptors in a pest's muscle cells, causing rapid paralysis; since it works mainly through ingestion, feeding — and crop damage — stops within hours of exposure.

Why Farmers Choose Tarzan

  • One insecticide for the full label crop range — cereals, cash crops, pulses, oilseeds and vegetables — instead of switching products between crops.
  • A single, novel mode of action that still performs where older insecticide groups have lost effectiveness.
  • Strong, lasting knockdown that cuts down the number of sprays needed through the season.
  • Consistent, dependable field performance season after season.

How to Use Tarzan

  1. Check the crop you're treating in the table above and note its dose and water volume per acre.
  2. Half-fill the sprayer tank with water, add the measured dose of Tarzan, and top up to the full volume while stirring.
  3. Apply as a fine, uniform foliar spray, making sure the solution reaches the lower canopy as well as the top.
  4. Spray during calm morning or evening hours; hold off if rain is expected soon after application.
  5. Time the first spray to early-stage pest activity — Tarzan performs best as a preventive/early-curative treatment.

Precautions & Safety

  • Use protective gear — mask, gloves and full-sleeve clothing — throughout mixing and application.
  • Don't combine with strongly alkaline products unless tank-mix compatibility is confirmed.
  • Store away from sunlight, food, children and animals, in a cool and dry place.
  • Respect the waiting period shown above for your crop before harvest.
  • Wash hands and exposed skin with soap immediately after use.
