Mode of Action
Carbendazim is a systemic, translocated fungicide that acts by binding to beta-tubulin, a structural protein essential for building the mitotic spindle during cell division in fungi. By disrupting spindle-microtubule assembly, it blocks mitosis (nuclear division) in the fungal pathogen, halting its growth, sporulation and spread. Because it interferes with a basic cellular process rather than a single surface enzyme, it provides both protective action — preventing new infection when applied ahead of disease onset — and curative action against early-stage infections already established in plant tissue. As a suspension concentrate, this formulation disperses readily in the spray tank and is absorbed and translocated within the plant's vascular system, continuing to protect new growth for some time after application.

How to Use
- Take the required quantity of Carbendazim 46.27% SC and dilute it first in a little water, stirring well.
- Add the remaining quantity of water as per the spray volume required for your orchard/vineyard size, and mix well again by stirring.
- Spray using a knapsack sprayer fitted with a flat-fan nozzle (a foot sprayer is also acceptable) to ensure thorough, uniform coverage of foliage, flowers and developing fruit.
- Apply during the morning or evening hours; avoid spraying in high winds and apply only during clear, rain-free conditions for best uptake.
- This fungicide can be used from the vegetative stage through flowering and fruit-setting; repeat as advised by local agricultural extension based on disease pressure, and always respect the waiting period before harvest.
Precautions & Safety
- Wear appropriate PPE — mask/respirator, gloves, goggles and full-sleeved clothing — while mixing and spraying.
- Avoid tank-mixing with strongly alkaline materials (such as lime or Bordeaux mixture) or copper-based fungicides, which can reduce stability and effectiveness; always do a small jar-compatibility test before mixing with an unfamiliar product.
- Store in the original, tightly closed container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, food and feed, and out of reach of children and livestock.
- Respect the waiting period (30 days for grapes, 15 days for mango) before harvest, and follow your local agricultural extension advice for the latest guidance.
- Carbendazim resistance is a well-documented issue in several fungal pathogens because of its single-site mode of action; avoid repeated, back-to-back applications on the same crop/disease, and rotate or tank-mix with a fungicide from a different resistance group as part of a resistance-management program.
- Wash hands, face and any exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after handling or spraying, and change out of contaminated clothing before eating, drinking or smoking.
